New Breeds

Over the next few pages we would like to introduce you to the “New Breeds” which have been around for some time but only now are gaining the recognition they (and their supporters) deserve.

Shynx

The Sphynx is a cat of moderate foreign type which is distinguished by its lack of coat.  There is a fine down, making the skin feel like chamois leather, often with thicker down on the nose, the back of the ears, feet and tail.  They may be bred in any combination of colours and patterns.

The Snowshoe is a shorthaired cat of medium foreign build.  It has the distinctive Siamese coat pattern, with blue eyes, but with white feet, white on its face, chest and belly.  It is bred in the whole range of Siamese colours
